Zaida del Rio was born in Villa Clara, Cuba in 1954. She is a painter, sculptress, ceramics decorator and illustrator. The artist studied at the National School of Fine Arts, the Instituto Nacional Superior de Arte in Havana and also at the cole de Beux-Arts in Paris.
